Is a publishing administration service which aims to efficiently register and supervise the rights and income for your songs and/or traditional arrangements so that you can concentrate on making music secure in the knowledge that the administration of your songs and arrangements is being professionally handled and you are receiving the payments due to you for use of your works.
Who we are
Outlandish Music Services is owned by Terry O’Brien (Playpen Management & Agency, One little Indian) and Phil Budden (Topic Records) who both have extensive experience within differing areas of the music industry and together provide the necessary artist relations and copyright administration for the company.
What we do
Once you engage Outlandish Music Services to work on your behalf all you need to do is let us know each time you produce a new work and at the end of each of your tours send us an itinerary and set list. We will then do the rest.
We will register you as a songwriter with the collection societies if this has not been done already. We will register all your new works as they are written and make regular checks to ensure that the registrations are secure and correct. We will also ensure that payments are being properly made for all uses of your works. In return we will take a 10% administration fee of income from your works.
What you should do
If you are a busy songwriter or arranger without the help of a manager or publishing company who is not well-versed in the publishing world, we can probably help increase your publishing income. Get in touch and we will review your current publishing situation with you, without any obligation, and let you know if we think we can make a difference.
